how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score — the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.
Read from 52 comments (50 from Metacritic, 2 from TMDB reviews) — 22 of them described how it moves.
➖ steady — Holds one level all the way. Hard going most of the way through. Very little of it ever resolves.

Published reviews, not felt experience — a different question from the one above, and never mixed into the FlickFeel score.
It plays better than it reviews — the watch lands harder than the write-ups suggest.
“It's all done in questionable taste, mucking around in the nasty terrain of snuff films and children in constant peril, but Sinister is smart and well-crafted, and it scarcely gives the audience a moment to breathe.”
Scott Tobias, The A.V. Club · 83
“The scares are not just intense but unyielding in this compelling horror yarn from "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" director Scott Derrickson.”
Peter Debruge, Variety · 80
“Hawke's taut performance - lightly parodying his own career doldrums while playing an egotistical hack who's a close cousin of John Cassavetes's self-loathing actor in Rosemary's Baby - is totally credible.”
Nick Pinkerton, Village Voice · 80
“Rather than another drearily workaday horror picture, Sinister uses the supernatural to underline its examination of the all-too-human foibles of insecurity and myopic self-centeredness. As the best horror stories so often do, Sinister makes clear that we are our own boogeymen, the worst monsters of all.”
Mark Olsen, Los Angeles Times · 80
“Now this is a scary movie. And, given that it's a horror film, that means it's a good one. [18 Oct 2012]”

Grouped by where it was written, because a considered review and a reaction typed an hour after the credits are different things. Every quote links to its source.

“Hits an absurdly high number of horror clichés, but manages to do it in a pretty successful manner. Features many more laugh out moments than you might expect from a horror of this type. Not sure if that's a pro or a con. _Final rating:★★★ - I liked it. Would personally recommend you give it a go._”

“73/100 A true crime writer moves into a home where a horrific murder took place and his family encounters a malevolent force. This was an ultra-creepy exercise in, not only a demonic presence, but also in obsession and how far someone is willing to go before considering their family's safety. Everyone in it did a wonderful job and their actions were logical, heartfelt and intelligent. It's absolutely thick with a sense of dread, with a few really choice jump scares that never felt like pander”
