how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score β the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.
Read from 80 comments (40 from Reddit, 37 from Metacritic, 3 from TMDB reviews) β 25 of them described how it moves.
γ°οΈ uneven β Peaks and dips, no clear shape. Pulled both ways throughout β never simply one thing. In the last stretch it was tender and painful at the same time, which is the state people mean by being moved. Marked above the line: 1 that landed as a blow, 2 that gave people chills.

βat the end is easily one of my top 5 cinematic moments. Love it.β

βThe over-used blink-and-you'll-miss-it rapid cuts are so distracting it makes it hard to really invest yourself in either the characters or the story at first.β

βI expect her to survive somehow at the end. But that never happens. Why does my heart cry?β
βSatine's death sticks out to me as the most heartbreaking death scene I have seen in a movieβ

βThe sounds he makes as he cries over Satine is pure grief and with the room full of people being totally silent and staring at them, it is tough to watchβ

βA landmark musical movie -- controversial, mercurial, even cheeky. It's the kind of film that wildly divides audiences and critics -- people tend to either love or hate it. I loved it.β

βIt's a wonderful postmodern hug of a movie, and never once do you not know you're watching a movie.β

βThis thing moves brilliantly, sparkling like nothing we've seen domestically since "The Wiz" or "Xanadu."β
Gregory Weinkauf, New Times (L.A.) Β· 90
βLuhrmann has raised the level of his game, deconstructing the Hollywood musical -- a genre all but left for dead -- and reassembling it with a potency that hasn’t been seen since “Cabaret.”β
David Ansen, Newsweek Β· 90
βA crazed, lovestruck, wholly original (and yet amazingly referential) beast, part pop-culture wasteland, part glowing tribute, and part wild-eyed roller coaster (of love).β

βMoulin Rouge has many things to like about it, but comes off as inconsistent at times. All of the actors were top notch. I believe it was Nicole Kidman's best performance of her career. Ewan McGregor usually doesn't add a lot of depth to his characters, but in this movie it was ample. Jim Broadbent was charismatic and Richard Roxburgh was a very convincing pervert, right down to his posture. I liked how well they developed each of these characters. The rest of the actors were also excellent,β

βI could go on why I enjoyed this film - heck, I reviewed this 3 times on Letterbox! But the one simple word I can best describe Moulin Rouge, is poignant. This film give a poignant feeling whenever I get the chance to see this it. The glits, the glamour, the music & the story. This is the perfect love story. Ewan McGreggor and Nicole Kidman were terrific. I recommend this film as a Valentine's treat!β
