Two separate readings, not parts of the score β the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.

β steady β Holds one level all the way. Hard going most of the way through. Very little of it ever resolves. Marked above the line: 1 that landed as a blow, 1 that got a real laugh.

βI did find myself wondering what time it was about 3/4 of the way through, which is kind of surprising because it didn't feel slow or dragging.β

βThe cystic fibrosis-themed romantic drama Five Feet Apart feels like a real evolution in the sick teen movie genre, because itβs actually a great movie that just happens to be about sick teens, and it doesnβt condescend or try to cheer up anyone.β

βThe movie is smartly paced, and Sprouse (βRiverdaleβ) and Richardson make for one of the more adorable pairs in recent films. You not only want whatβs best for them, but believe it can actually happen.β

βSo here, in the year of our lord 2019, comes Five Feet Apart, and if it ends up being a late entry in the trend, it wouldnβt be a bad one to go out on.β
Emily Yoshida, New York Magazine (Vulture) Β· 70
βDecent enough as a night out but destined to be used as a fundraising tool, the film is galvanized by its push towards a perverse kind of representation; the idea isnβt to make people with cystic fibrosis feel seen, but rather to erase them altogether. And the highest compliment one can pay to Five Feet Apart is that it has the power to play a small, valuable role in that effort.β
David Ehrlich, IndieWire Β· 67
βThe filmβs final act stretches credulity and hangs its hat on an impossibly (albeit suitably Harlequin-esque and dreamy) farewell sequence. Still, itβs all but certain the intended audience will find in Five Feet Apart a cogent and watchable weepie worthy of marquee status at sleepovers.β

βWe each have our time-wasting habits that cause us to forget just how short life really is. You could anticipate habitually checking on social media to last only a minute, then suddenly a half hour later are googling why you should use bourbon for a chocolate chip cookie recipe. Those procrastination moments halt our livelihood to borderline existing in solitude, sleepless with apple pie a la mode heated without the strawberry ice cream (or non-canned whipped cream) on top. Five Feet Apart attemβ

βI'm sure the filmmakers' intentions were nowhere near this bad, but what I gleaned from "Five Feet Apart" as a depiction of cystic fibrosis is that the disease itself is much less of a debilitating illness as it is a borderline **** plot device that's keeping two horny teenagers from making out, ultimately romanticizing and -- in turn -- minimizing a very un-romantic and serious disease in the real world. Couple that with all of the treacly, "Everything, Everything" meets "The Fault In Our Starsβ

βWhat an incredibly Romantic (with a capital R) story, which is reminiscent in many ways of Hathorne's Rappacini's Daughter - the girl raised in the poisonous garden who is incredibly beautiful but who is poisonous to anyone she makes contact with. Yes, it's a bit of a stretch, but the Romantic themes of intellect vs. emotion and head vs heart are overflowing in this very beautiful story. Haley Lu Richardson is just incredible in every role she plays, and this film is no exception. I wasn't expeβ
