Two separate readings, not parts of the score β the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.
Read from 30 comments (28 from Metacritic, 2 from TMDB reviews) β 10 of them described how it moves.
Thin evidence β the shape below rests on 10 comments. The shaded band is how wide the uncertainty actually is, and it is drawn to scale.
Not enough people said when to name this shape. The line is what the evidence draws, not a finding.

βI preferred the mystery and the dread that frame it.β

βThat first fifty minutes is one of the most gorgeous stretches of cinema I've seen in my life. An experiment in underexposing objects and textures that so subtly, so strangely and so strongly brings back the mid and later '90s of my childhood, and is profoundly effective in the existential horror vein it mines.β

Published reviews, not felt experience β a different question from the one above, and never mixed into the FlickFeel score.
It plays better than it reviews β the watch lands harder than the write-ups suggest.
βHis most thoroughly surreal work since Eraserhead, this two-hour-plus fever dream is more of one piece than Fire Walk with Me and less desperate and jokey than Wild at Heart.β

βThis is delightfully bonkers; an eerie and edgy outpouring that makes Twin Peaks look like Moonlighting.β

βIt's a weird movie, in that spooky/sicko, deadpan way that Lynch's movies always are, and it's guaranteed to repel anyone who likes entertainment wrapped in tidy resolutions and optimistic fade- outs.β

βProperly speaking, this isn't a movie with characters but with figures, each of them as overblown as a plastic inner tube.β
Jonathan Rosenbaum, Chicago Reader Β· 70
βThe first half of this 1997 movie suffers from abstraction. Still, it's a compelling erotic nightmare.β

Grouped by where it was written, because a considered review and a reaction typed an hour after the credits are different things. Every quote links to its source.

β**Lynch's Masterpiece.** This is my favorite Lynch films, hands down. First saw it in a theatre and the film's lighting was so weird and disorienting that at times you weren't sure if there was some weird exterior light source hitting the screen. Uber weird. More twist and turns than the highway itself :P For sure it's fun to try and nail down exactly what happened but IMHO it's a little more fun not to know - each time you rewatch it you might see/think/feel something different.β

βAnother mindf*** from David Lynch has some great visuals and once I did some research afterward, some of it actually makes sense, though while watching there plenty wtf moments. Not sure I love it or not but appreciate many elements. **3.75/5**β
