how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score β the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.
Read from 11 comments (6 from TMDB reviews, 5 from Metacritic) β 5 of them described how it moves.
Thin evidence β the shape below rests on 5 comments. The shaded band is how wide the uncertainty actually is, and it is drawn to scale.
Not enough people said when to name this shape. The line is what the evidence draws, not a finding.

βThe trademark final act revelation not only negatively affects the main theme of the movie but also raises dozens of plot and character inconsistencies, too many to handle.β

βthe rest of it is slow and dull to watch.β

βThe last twenty minutes could have retrieved the situation had they be handled better, but what little jeopardy - or plausibility the story had had until then just evaporated.β

βThe entire movie feels jumbled together, the pacing moves incredibly fast and choppy at some points, jumping from one small event to another. As a viewer you never get to sit in atmosphere of what has just occurred because it rips you away into another event.β

βHowever, as is characteristic of Shyamalan's work, the film takes an unexpected turn towards the end, leaving viewers feeling disheartened and frustrated by the conclusion. The disappointing ending can overshadow the film's positive aspects, leaving a sense of disturbance and dissatisfaction among viewers.β

βI thought it was quite relaxing to watch, with the sounds of nature in the background (waterfalls, birds etc.). It has an aimlessness about it which I found quite pleasing, so I don't mean that in a bad way.β

βA triumph of modesty and of seriousness that also happens to be one of the finest American films of the year.β

βIt's in all the moments where little happens that Reichardt is most amazing, investing even a gas-station pit stop with perfect emotional pitch.β
Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly Β· 100
βOld Joy is only 76 minutes long, but it has the contemplative power of Buddhist meditation. Reichardt gives us long, stoned takes of rural roads; shots of birds, insects and slugs in the spectacular Oregon rain forest; interludes with Mark's dog, Lucy. Some viewers may well be bored, or monumentally irritated, by this. I found it masterly, riveting.β

βThe movie's scale is minuscule, but the physical and emotional landscapes it travels are as broad, deep and mysterious as the human psyche itself.β
Ella Taylor, L.A. Weekly Β· 100
βFor all the ephemeral pleasure of the company of old friends, there is a chasm between them and the dynamics shift from moment to moment. The beauty of the film is how director Kelly Reichardt brilliantly captures those moments with lucid simplicity.β

Grouped by where it was written, because a considered review and a reaction typed an hour after the credits are different things. Every quote links to its source.

βI liked the camerawork showing the sort of 'open (country and urban) road' driving the men do near the startβ

βThis is totally the kind of movie that can get the nickname of ''Nothing happens'' And I could certainly support that sentiment, but Old Joy isn't such a simple movie, I mean, it is, but if you're paying attention, the perspective is quite interesting. Time isn't kind, and the line between nostalgia for the past and the way things are now can be blurred, but it will never change things.β
