how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score β the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.
Read from 50 comments (45 from Metacritic, 5 from TMDB reviews) β 10 of them described how it moves.
Thin evidence β the shape below rests on 10 comments. The shaded band is how wide the uncertainty actually is, and it is drawn to scale.
Not enough people said when to name this shape. The line is what the evidence draws, not a finding.

βThe film begins with the raising of the curtain - the opening of the window shades in Jeff's apartment, a perspective that becomes both Jeff's and the viewer's throughout the film.β

βThe issue of their troubled romance is problematic, introduced in the first act and never truly resolvedβ

βIts a slow builder, plot wise but it does well at pulling the audience in, questioning things. Its an intriguing watch, I found surprisingly tenseβ

βHUGE chunks of this movie that felt as if they were filler with only a couple of minutes of actual development in the storyβ

βOnly complaint is that it all wrapped up so quickly with a neat little bow on top.β

Published reviews, not felt experience β a different question from the one above, and never mixed into the FlickFeel score.
It reviews better than it plays β admired more than it is enjoyed.
βRear Window lovingly invests in suspense all through the film, banking it in our memory, so that when the final payoff arrives, the whole film has been the thriller equivalent of foreplay.β
Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times Β· 100
βFlawless, essential viewing that would earn more than its five stars if only Empire would allow it.β
Kim Newman, Empire Β· 100
βThe film leaps off the screen with a thrilling immediacy.β
Peter Travers, Rolling Stone Β· 100
βAs much as I admire all of these, especially "Vertigo," I can't imagine that any one of them will top the feelings of exhilaration that are prompted by Rear Window, this most bittersweet of Hitchcockian suspense-romances. Make no mistake about it: Rear Window is as much of a romance as it is a brilliant exercise in suspense.β
Vincent Canby, The New York Times Β· 100
βHitchcock confines all of the action to this single setting and draws the nerves to the snapping point in developing the thriller phases of the plot. He is just as skilled in making use of lighter touches in either dialog or situation to relieve the tension when it nears the unbearable. Interest never wavers during the 112 minutes of footage.β

Grouped by where it was written, because a considered review and a reaction typed an hour after the credits are different things. Every quote links to its source.

βProbably have seen this a half dozen times over the years and still is my favorite Hitchcock movie, favorite mind you not best. Simple story and taking place in one location, but good performances from James Stewart and Grace Kelly. **4.5/5**β
