how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score — the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.
Read from 100 comments (76 from Reddit, 24 from Metacritic) — 26 of them described how it moves.
➖ steady — Holds one level all the way. Warm most of the way through. Around the middle it was tender and painful at the same time, which is the state people mean by being moved. Marked above the line: 2 that landed as a blow, 1 that gave people chills, 3 that got a real laugh.

“I couldn't stop smiling when Simon and Blue kissed at the top of the ferris wheel.”

“When the dad tries to make light of the situation when Simon comes out and finally comes to tell his son he still loves him but only after what seems like days of awkward avoidance, was EXACTLY what happened to me. It really choked me up and gave me one of those “gasp for air” mini cries. Even the scene was similar; Simon came out Christmas Day, I came out thanksgiving day.”

“The entire theater I was in clapped and cheered at the ferris wheel scene. It was honestly surreal as a queer person to see a regular old teen movie romance (but with two men) being so celebrated; that reaction alone brought tears to my eyes.”
“I cried during that scene with his mom (along with a few others) because I felt like she was talking to me.”

“the literal first scene is a voice over of Simon saying “I’m just like you...” as he comes out of his million dollar home and his parents have gifted him a new car. I couldn’t help but laugh, because no, you’re not like me.”
“In the final scene where Simon picks everyone up from their houses and they all came out of these laughable rich homes, it felt like an SNL skit.”

Published reviews, not felt experience — a different question from the one above, and never mixed into the FlickFeel score.
“Love, Simon is a John Hughes movie for audiences who just got woke. And for all its attempts not to offend, it's a genuine groundbreaker.”
Peter Travers, Rolling Stone · 88
“Love, Simon is a universal story, even if you’re not a gay teenager. The challenge of figuring out who we are and standing comfortably in that identity might begin in high school, but often lasts a lifetime.”
Sandy Cohen, The Associated Press · 88
“It’s not exactly like the novel, but it captures the best parts of it.”
Meredith Goldstein, Boston Globe · 88
“As a consumer, it is simply your responsibility to see it, just so that many more Love, Simons can be made. There are worse things to spend your money on than this adorable teen gay comedy whose worst quality is its boring straight man.”
Chandler Levack, The Globe and Mail (Toronto) · 88
“A wonderful, uplifting, endearing, thoroughly entertaining story.”
Richard Roeper, Chicago Sun-Times · 88
