Two separate readings, not parts of the score β the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.

Thin evidence β the shape below rests on 2 comments. The shaded band is how wide the uncertainty actually is, and it is drawn to scale.
Not enough people said when to name this shape. The line is what the evidence draws, not a finding.

βAt first, I was not so convinced by the time jumps in the plot, but then it became clear to me that these spaces allow us to explore other sides of the character, her contradictions, and a more notorious evolution.β

βA staggering masterwork that reveals itself unhurriedly, one permutation at a time, Chouβs third feature is perhaps the only film this year in which every single scene and every line of dialogue within them feel absolutely indispensable. The richness in every detail, and their unexpected ramifications over time, make for a one-of-a-kind character study.β

βReturn to Seoul is a startling and uneasy wonder, a film that feels like a beautiful sketch of a tornado headed directly toward your house.β
Amy Nicholson, The New York Times Β· 100
βReturn to Seoul begins as an intimately off-the-cuff stranger-in-strange-land story and becomes a sprawling epic of personal discovery. Itβs one of the best films of the year.β

βItβs a gorgeous film, and Chouβs camera moves in a way that frames and heightens Freddieβs emotion. This is a mood piece, at times one with almost abstract aims, and itβs a joy to be swept away in it.β
Alissa Wilkinson, Vox Β· 100
βFreddie is a live wire given form, flesh, sinew. Sheβs a woman defined by what she refuses to be, and Chou appropriately refuses to offer any heartwarming, simple resolutions to the dilemmas marking her life.β

βWe can all sympathize with the main character's backstory. However, her approach to reconnecting with her origins deserves none of our commendation. Her adoptive parents treated her well, so she has no right to act out defiantly to the people who only wanted the best for her. The main character is also traitorous to innocent people who helped her, and she was extremely careless with spontaneity for someone who grew up in a privileged French home. There are better Korean movies that tell a similaβ

βA woman is sad about having been adopted when she was a child. This film has almost nothing else to say, other than some interesting glimpses into everyday life in South Korea.β
