➖ steady — Holds one level all the way. Pulled both ways throughout — never simply one thing. In the first half it was tender and painful at the same time, which is the state people mean by being moved. Very little of it ever resolves. Marked above the line: 1 moment that made people jump, 1 that landed as a blow, 1 that got a real laugh.

“the rushed ending”

“This movie is just banger after banger of exciting sequences”
TheJoshider10 · Reddit ↗
“the movie just *ends*. It feels like they either ran out of script, or out of budget (or both) and so the movie just *stops*. It's like it's missing the entire last act.”

“And what a failure of an ending. The film just sort of ends, like they realized their time ran out and just came up with”
SanderSo47 · Reddit ↗
“I don't even mind the ending as well. The raptor resolution is satisfying overall from a story and character perspective for Dr Grant.”

“The movie just isn’t as captivating when they leave the island for me”

“Not as awe-inspiring as the first film or as elaborate as the second, but in its own B-movie way, it's a nice little thrill machine.”
Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times · 75
“Fast and funny and brings back some of the wonder to the series.”
Stephanie Zacharek, Salon · 70
“Definitely still beating a dead dinosaur here, but the film is leaner, more exciting and superior in every way to the last outing.”
William Arnold, Seattle Post-Intelligencer · 67
“Another of many recent Hollywood plotless wonders.”
Michael Wilmington, Chicago Tribune · 63
“What makes it worth sitting through is the chance it offers to catch up on the technical advances since the last installment.”
Jay Carr, Boston Globe · 63
