Two separate readings, not parts of the score — the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.

➖ steady — Holds one level all the way. Pulled both ways throughout — never simply one thing. Very little of it ever resolves. Marked above the line: 1 that gave people chills.

“challenges the viewer from start to finish. It largely remains ambiguous, offering no answers to the pressing questions that arise, thereby leaving ample room for the audience's imagination.”

“Like gathering storm clouds, Donnie Darko creates an atmosphere of eerie calm and mounting menace -- stands as one of the most exceptional movies of 2001.”
Jean Oppenheimer, New Times (L.A.) · 100
“Kelly, the 26-year-old writer-director of this excitingly original indie vision, shares more artistically with Wes Anderson or Paul Thomas Anderson than he does with Spielberg or John Hughes, but the point is, he's out on his own here. He swings big -- with flair.”
Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly · 91
“It is funny, sad and beautiful. And it's right on time.”
Joe Donnelly, L.A. Weekly · 90
“Appealingly, the movie has a certain lightness -- like the aforementioned butterfly -- which makes its foreboding qualities surprisingly user-friendly.”
Desson Thomson, Washington Post · 88
“Kelly is a supple and courageous storyteller, boldly free-associating as he mixes parody and satire with earnest psychodrama and coming up with plot points no one could anticipate.”
Lisa Alspector, Chicago Reader · 80

Grouped by where it was written, because a considered review and a reaction typed an hour after the credits are different things. Every quote links to its source.

“It's a great film, I really should watch it again. I heard the director's cut takes away all the ambiguity and explains everything about the story (basically, Donnie was something called "the receiver" and that was why the time travel happened), so whether or not that improves the movie is up to you. I personally like the film as a really unconventional coming of age story, and I like how it leaves a lot up to viewer interpretation.”

“**A strange film, with a strong visual impact and a script with wild theories, but which fulfills its objective very well and is enjoyable to watch.** I saw this film very recently, and I have to agree with all those who label it “strange” or “bizarre”. Directed and written by Richard Kelly, it stars a young Jake Gyllenhaal and offers us a very complex plot where a young teenager commits several crimes under the influence of an imaginary friend who dresses up as a rabbit. Everything indicates”
