🕯️
we closed the founding round
before anyone bought one.
The offer was ₹4,999 / $59, once, for Pro forever, capped at 500. It was live for about a day. Then we did the arithmetic properly and withdrew it, for three reasons we'd rather state than bury:
- A lifetime deal is a promise you can only break. Our loudest criticism of Trakt is that they took $30 lifetime-ish subscribers and moved them to $60. Selling the same instrument means taking on the same liability while attacking someone for it. That's incoherent, and we noticed in time.
- It sold our best future customers at a discount. The people who'd have bought on day one are the ones most worth keeping, and we'd have locked them in permanently before knowing what any of this was worth.
- There is no Pro to sell any more. On 2026-08-20 every feature it would have unlocked went into the Free Forever Charter instead. A lifetime pass to something that's already free is not a product.
Nobody had bought one when we closed it, so nobody was affected.
what replaced it
Money now comes from the industry rather than from you: studios and trailer houses pay us to measure how an audience experiences their cut. You can be paid to be part of that, or support the project without buying anything at all.
