what happens
Book Four is set three years after Book Three. Now broken and bruised, Korra begins a journey of self-discovery and survival as the strong prey upon the weak. When an aggressive military force rises up led by the power-hungry Kuvira, the fate of the Earth Kingdom hangs in the balance and only the Avatar can set things right.

how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score β the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.

β steady β Holds one level all the way. Pulled both ways throughout β never simply one thing. Early on it was tender and painful at the same time, which is the state people mean by being moved. It tightens hardest in the last stretch.

what people actually wrote
Grouped by where it was written, because a considered review and a reaction typed an hour after the credits are different things. Every quote links to its source.
βthis story actually really takes the trauma and pain that Korra was dealt seriouslyβ

βThat was the scene that solidified Korra as not only being my favorite character in either show, but solidified my preference for LoK of ATLA (though both are obviously great). You just expected, after the triumphant moment at the end of episode 4, that Korraβs going to come out more mature but ready to kick ass. And then, this happened. I always tear up a little watching it, especially seeing the defeated look on her face afterwards. She realizes that it wasnβt just the physical damage that was done to her; the mental and emotional scars cut just as deep, if not deeper.β
