how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score — the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.
Read from 113 comments (108 from Reddit, 3 from TMDB reviews, 2 from Metacritic) — 19 of them described how it moves.
Thin evidence — the shape below rests on 19 comments. The shaded band is how wide the uncertainty actually is, and it is drawn to scale.
Not enough people said when to name this shape. The line is what the evidence draws, not a finding.

“So much had happened in the initial 1/3 of the movie that i thought it was ending when the twist arrived.”

“annoying as fuck for the first 30 mins of the film”

“Or in the first half when the mom and son are going up the stairs and the stairway is blocked by furniture and shit and she says to the kid, “stay here. I’m gonna go ahead to check.” And then proceeds to dangerously walk up on the wet side railing Like bitch, just throw that fucking furniture off”

“I had to turn the movie off after he wouldn’t lift his arm up to be carried by the security guard man. I mean insufferable. Within 30 mins of the movie he: didn’t shut up during the announcement, hid in the closet, ran into the random apartment and then proceeded to hide in a different room once it flooded, almost to the rooftop and said he had to poop (you have GOT to be kidding), complained about the fire being too hot but then wouldn’t put his arm out to be pulled up by the security guard. I’m sure it continued but I quite literally couldn’t stand it”

“After the first 20 minutes or so, I literally could not get it out of mind how much I hate the kid character.”

“I thought it was deeply emotional. And it begs the question (that makes me feel panicky): What does it mean to be human?”

Published reviews, not felt experience — a different question from the one above, and never mixed into the FlickFeel score.
It reviews better than it plays — admired more than it is enjoyed.
“The movie on its own is great, but with this music it's sublime.”
Jordan Hoffman, Film.com · 90
“Guitarist-composer Bill Frisell's wall-to-wall, bluesy-jazzy soundtrack beautifully reflects and unifies the visuals while also helping to personalize this distinct endeavor. It's a terrific achievement.”
Gary Goldstein, Los Angeles Times · 90
“The flood images are stark, conveying all the terror and pity that modern disaster footage imparts. But Morrison and Frisell infuse the film with warmth and, where appropriate, a touch of wit, causing its subject to breathe anew.”
Steve Smith, Time Out · 80
“A striking experiment in music and moviemaking.”
Neil Genzlinger, The New York Times · 80
“The Great Flood works as a wordless narrative of human endurance, showing communities gathering to stack sandbags, then gathering again to dig out of the muck after their previous efforts failed.”
Noel Murray, The Dissolve · 70

Grouped by where it was written, because a considered review and a reaction typed an hour after the credits are different things. Every quote links to its source.

“Must admit it did take me a while to get into the flow of this movie. Definitely no pun intended. So much so that I stopped watching last night and decided to start again today.”

“(Mauro Lanari) The algorithm starts by mashing "Groundhog Day," "I, Robot," "Flow," "The Towering Inferno," and stalls in an experiment on the mother-child bond (the father, it goes without saying, is expendable). The script doesn't hold water and the simulation's meaning is lost: if the floods are a digitized visualization of emotional involvement, then there has never been a disaster on Earth (in the final scene of the return to our planet, it's still habitable); vice versa, if the disaster ”

“It starts slowly, with heavy rain but then we see water building to oceanic levels, outside tall South Korean apartment blocks, topped off by horrifying giant waves, that quite literally, shatter the illusion of a safe and predictable future.”

“### **Review: *The Great Flood (2025)*** **Score: 6/10** *The Great Flood* is an ambitious and visually arresting disaster epic that aims to marry biblical-scale spectacle with intimate human drama. It is a film of awe-inspiring moments and powerful imagery, yet one that ultimately feels adrift in its own narrative depths, struggling to stay afloat under the weight of its grand intentions. **What Works (The Spectacle):** * **Breathtaking Visual Scale:** The film’s undeniable streng”

“FULL SPOILER-FREE REVIEW @ https://movieswetextedabout.com/the-great-flood-movie-review-kim-da-mi-shines-in-a-convoluted-disaster-flick/ "The Great Flood ends up being a bittersweet experience, promising an immersion into the human soul in the face of the abyss, but floating only on the surface of several ideas without truly diving into any of them. It benefits immensely from the talent of Kim Da-mi, but it's pulled down by a script that can't decide if it wants to be an action blockbuster”
