how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score β the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.
Read from 21 comments (18 from Metacritic, 3 from TMDB reviews) β 5 of them described how it moves.
Thin evidence β the shape below rests on 5 comments. The shaded band is how wide the uncertainty actually is, and it is drawn to scale.
Not enough people said when to name this shape. The line is what the evidence draws, not a finding.

βRemarkable. [22 July 1991]β

βSingleton's powerhouse movie has the impact of a stun gun. [15 July 1991]β
David Ansen, Newsweek Β· 100
βHas maturity and emotional depth: There are no cheap shots, nothing is thrown in for effect, realism is placed ahead of easy dramatic payoffs, and the audience grows deeply involved.β
Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times Β· 100
βFlows in a way that seems effortless, following its own path, arriving at its own place. Only after the movie is over are the outlines of its story apparent. I found it impossible to outguess it. [12 July 1991]β
Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle Β· 100
βThe film not only lives up to its "Increase The Peace" subtitle but by refusing to overtly moralise puts its concerns across with astonishing impact.β
Lloyd Bradly, Empire Β· 100

Grouped by where it was written, because a considered review and a reaction typed an hour after the credits are different things. Every quote links to its source.

βRick, it's the Nineties. Can't afford to be afraid of our own people anymore, man. 1991 "One out of every twenty-one Black American males will be murdered in their lifetime" "Most will die at the hands of another Black male" "Increase The Peace" is the closing message of John Singleton's powerful, intelligent and affecting call for calm in South Central Los Angeles. Often mistakenly presumed by those who haven't seen it to be a film that glamorises violence, Singleton's debut filmβ

βJohn Singleton really isn't my thing. I mean, the movie came out in '91 but didn't get much exposure out in the country where I grew up until it was on HBO. However "Poetic Justice" DID and when I finally came around to watching "Boyz n the Hood" I had extremely low expectations. I honestly thought it was going to be as absolutely pointless as "Poetic Justice" was. And, yeah, I did kind of like "Higher Learning," which I also saw before this, but I still kind of feel that he was pointing tβ
