how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score β the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.
Read from 107 comments (74 from Reddit, 29 from Metacritic, 4 from TMDB reviews) β 40 of them described how it moves.
β steady β Holds one level all the way. Pulled both ways throughout β never simply one thing. Very little of it ever resolves. Marked above the line: 1 that landed as a blow, 1 that got a real laugh.

βthe whole ending sequence with the sniper. It was bad enough what she did to Eightball, but it absolutely floored me when she got Cowboy. Then the whole smoke grenade sequence, and that chilling background music/noise as they went building to building to look for her... man, I was sweating bullets.β

βGets Unrealistic during and after the village rape.β
βat first laughing with the recruits at Pyle's abuse. The entire class did. But the longer it went on, the less there was laughing in the room. By the time that scene happened, most of us were pretty rattled.β

βElliptical, full of subtle inner rhymes...and profoundly moving, this is the most tightly crafted Kubrick film since "Dr. Strangelove," as well as the most horrific; the first section alone accomplishes most of what "The Shining" failed to do.β
Jonathan Rosenbaum, Chicago Reader Β· 100
βAs brutally unsparing as "Platoon" was, it was ultimately warm and embracing. Kubrick's film is about as embracing as a full-metal-jacketed bullet in the gut. [29 June 1987]β
Jack Kroll, Newsweek Β· 100
βKubrick's harrowing, beautiful and characteristically eccentric new film about Vietnam, is going to puzzle, anger and (I hope) fascinate audiences as much as any film he has made to date... A film of immense and very rare imagination.β
Vincent Canby, The New York Times Β· 100
βWhat makes the film stunning is less its metaphorical scheme than its cinematic style. Always a matter of flowing camera movement, Kubrick has photographed much of the action with long "traveling shots" that capture time and space as a seamless whole, not fractured into the bits and pieces of standard editing techniques. [26 June 1987]β
David Sterritt, Christian Science Monitor Β· 100
βMay be the best war movie ever made...Different is Kubrick's artistry and control, and his almost perverse, but philosophically progressive, refusal to impart to chaos a coherent narrative contour.β
Jay Scott, The Globe and Mail (Toronto) Β· 100

βFor the first part we are subjected to the training regime inflicted on wet behind the ears boys, boys soon to become Marines out in the harshness of the Vietnam War. This is real dehumanising stuff, frighteningly essayed by the brilliance of drill instructor R Lee Ermey's performance. We know, see and feel that the boys are primed to be killing machines, unemotional killing machines at that, with Kubrick astutely weaving the brutality of camp into the moral quandary that was the war itself.β
