how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score — the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.
Read from 52 comments (48 from Metacritic, 4 from TMDB reviews) — 11 of them described how it moves.
Thin evidence — the shape below rests on 11 comments. The shaded band is how wide the uncertainty actually is, and it is drawn to scale.
Not enough people said when to name this shape. The line is what the evidence draws, not a finding.

“This movie is definitely a slow burner. If you aren’t used to quiet, slice of life movies , you may find it to be slow going.”

“the "plot" is so thin you could go for a two hour walk in the middle of the movie and not miss anything”

“most viewers fell asleep. Yes, their eyes were open, but they were watching with their hearts instead of their minds.”

Published reviews, not felt experience — a different question from the one above, and never mixed into the FlickFeel score.
It reviews better than it plays — admired more than it is enjoyed.
“It's hard, too, to picture any actress other than McDormand (who also has a producer credit) in the part. She doesn't just become Fern, she creates her: melding Zhao's screenplay to her own fierce character in a way that feels almost uncannily real. Together, they've managed to make that rare thing: a film that feels both necessary and sublime.”
Leah Greenblatt, Entertainment Weekly · 100
“A movie that finds poetry in the story of a seemingly average woman. It is a gorgeous film that’s alternately dreamlike in the way it captures the beauty of this country and grounded in its story about the kind of person we don’t usually see in movies. I love everything about it.”
Brian Tallerico, RogerEbert.com · 100
“Chloé Zhao’s Nomadland is an utterly inspired docu-fictional hybrid, like her previous feature The Rider. It is a gentle, compassionate, questioning film about the American soul.”
Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian · 100
“There is no transcendence at the end of her long, harrowing journey, but there are unexpected gifts, guardian angels and places of refuge. It would be hard to overlook the spiritual presence — a good word for it would be “grace” — that hovers over every frame of this movie and the spare, wrenching story it has to tell.”
Justin Chang, Los Angeles Times · 100
“The sheer compassion of Zhao's direction is one of the film's most elemental pleasures, while McDormand is one of those rare actors who can somehow make the act of listening as thrilling as a barnstorming speech.”
Robbie Collin, The Telegraph · 100

“It says so much that these nomads, who have chosen to commit to this life of freedom, do so with so little. While those who have stripped them of their livelihoods carelessly enjoy the horrors of excess, a single plate or a tyre full of air become objects to treasure. The purpose of life is not in what we physically possess but what we possess in our hearts, the people we see and the sights we see. The indescribable magic of Chloé Zhao's work is that it speaks both to the pain and the glory of b”

“Quality. No surprise to see the hype around <em>'Nomadland'</em>, it's extremely well made and holds a lot of heart. Frances McDormand is the star, her performance is truly outstanding. A few of the other cast members, most of whom are real life nomads, merit props too - namely Charlene Swankie, who has one great scene. The cinematography and music, meanwhile, is stunning. Not much more to note. It's simply a terrific film, one that feels incredibly real.”
