βFar more than most action stars getting on in years, Bruce Willis has aged nicely into the role. Maybe itβs that shaved pate of his, a bullet-head that still looks primed for any chamber.β
Rick Groen, The Globe and Mail (Toronto) Β· 63
βWillis himself could not appear less enthusiastic in the role, and doesnβt phone in his performance here so much as clip it to a nearby pigeon and hope for the best. Yet perversely, his apparent lack of interest works rather well: McClane, after all, is now a grizzled back-number who has bumbled his way into a younger manβs action movie.β

βWhile some of the sequels have been entertaining enough, A Good Day to Die Hard signals that it may be a better day for John McClane to retire.β

βTo paraphrase a classic of Reagan-era cinema, A Good Day to Die Hard is a bad day to stop sniffing glue.β
Joe Williams, St. Louis Post-Dispatch Β· 50
βIn the way of workaday flicks built around long-in-the-tooth badasses, Die Hard 5 leaves room for McClane to make a few jokes about his thinning hair and to rue that he wasn't a better father when his kids were growing up. Oh, boo-hoo.β

βBig, dumb, fun action flick in Russia dies hard to entertain RELEASED IN 2013 and directed by John Moore, "A Good Day to Die Hard" is the Third of (currently) five installments in the Die Hard series. In this one John McClane (Bruce Willis) travels to Moscow to aid his unruly son, Jack (Jai Courtney), only to discover that Jack is an undercover agent. Father & son team-up to stop a nuclear weapons heist. Sebastian Koch is on hand as a focal point in the heist. The Die Hard flicks fill the β

βA Good Day to Die Hard (2013) is the weakest entry in the series, losing everything that made Die Hard great in the first place. The plot is thin, the script feels hollow, and the father-son dynamic that should have added some depth comes off as forced. The action is big, but without a strong story or real stakes, it all feels empty. Bruce Willis looks like he is just going through the motions, and the villains are completely forgettable. Instead of feeling like a Die Hard movie, it plays out liβ
