how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score — the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.
Read from 112 comments (93 from Reddit, 16 from Metacritic, 3 from TMDB reviews) — 31 of them described how it moves.
📈 rising arc — Builds the whole way through. Pulled both ways throughout — never simply one thing. In the last stretch it was tender and painful at the same time, which is the state people mean by being moved. Very little of it ever resolves. Marked above the line: 2 that landed as a blow, 3 that gave people chills.

“that final shot has me convinced Timothée Chalamet needs to win Best Actor; he pulled every emotion from every moment of the past two hours into his face.”

“The father’s monologue at the end nearly had me in tears, especially when he told Elio not to suppress his sadness.”

“And that credit sequence...oh man.”

“There were parts that fell a bit flat for me. The pacing”

“I spent the whole film anxious waiting for the shoe to drop.”

“The phone call at the end was the standout for me. Timothy Chalamet deserves an oscar nod for that scene alone. You can physically see all his feelings slamming into him. It's a truly outstanding showcase of subtle physicality.”

Published reviews, not felt experience — a different question from the one above, and never mixed into the FlickFeel score.
“Call Me By Your Name is a masterful work because of the specificity of its details.”
Jordan Hoffman, The Guardian · 100
“The chemistry between the men is palpable, but what's more important, they convey their characters' complex emotions, expectations and thoughts without necessarily opening their mouths.”
Boyd van Hoeij, The Hollywood Reporter · 100
“The final beats of Guadagnino’s adaptation galvanize two hours of simmering uncertainty into a gut-wrenchingly wistful portrait of two people trying to find themselves before it’s too late.”
David Ehrlich, IndieWire · 100
“Outside of a few short moments in Ismail Merchant and James Ivory’s “Maurice,” and Ang Lee’s “Brokeback Mountain,” the love and intimacy between two male characters has never truly felt this real or emotionally heartbreaking in a theatrical context. It’s almost revolutionary. It’s cinematic art.”
Gregory Ellwood, The Playlist · 100
“Even as he beguiles us with mystery, Guadagnino recreates Elio’s life-changing summer with such intensity that we might as well be experiencing it first-hand. It’s a rare gift that earns him a place in the pantheon alongside such masters of sensuality as Pedro Amodóvar and François Ozon, while putting “Call Me by Your Name” on par with the best of their work.”
Peter Debruge, Variety · 100
