γ°οΈ uneven β Peaks and dips, no clear shape. Warm most of the way through. Marked above the line: 4 that got a real laugh.

βWith The LEGO Batman Movie, a shiny, irresistible delight, blockbuster flicks have perfected their ideal form.β

βLike a miniature universe made entirely of millions of tiny plastic bricks, The Lego Batman Movie looks and feels like it could only have been put together by a roomful of mad geniuses, moving in a ballet of well-choreographed creativity: Itβs simultaneously epic and humble.β

βThe first thing to say about The Lego Batman Movie is that itβs kicky, bedazzling, and super-fun.β
Owen Gleiberman, Variety Β· 90
βWhile The Dark Knight won't be supplanted any time soon as tops among Bat-movies, the new film makes a strong argument for second-best simply by taking time to explore the core of Batman that others havenβt: Heβs a complicated mess who canβt get out of his own way long enough for the greater good.β
Brian Truitt, USA Today Β· 88
βDirector Chris McKay keeps things zipping along, alternating between smart and often hilarious rapid-fire exchanges of dialogue, and big, big, BIG action sequences that fill every inch of the screen with brightly colored, fantastically kinetic action.β

βIts only stumbling block is the last half hour or so, which tonally (with things taking a more dramatic and darker tone) felt too far removed from the rest of the film and not only did it lose momentum it also felt somewhat overblown.β

βProbably the best Batman movie. It is at the same time a charming love-letter, (valid) criticism, bits of a parody, a psychological study of Batman and an awesome heroβs journey story. It gets so many things right like the humor, action, characters, story and themes. Story: It starts like a standard Batman story. The Joker is threatening to destroy Gotham City and Batman is trying to stop him. However the usual hero / villain banter ends with Batman saying that the Joker means nothing to him whiβ

βWhat was great about this movie is the overall experience you get in the theatre while watching this movie. Very few animated kids movies do a good job of appealing to kids and adults and put them in seats. To me, for the longest time, Pixar was the only one who could do this. But I am so pleased to say that this movie is great and enjoyable for kids and adults. The humor appeal to both sides without going to far to one side and you keep getting **** into the comedy of the movie. Another fuβ
β**All important movies start with a black screen...** As the new millennium began, alongside the LEGO films born, but it all started with the song, the breakthrough song 'Everything is Awesome' a couple of years ago. Since then, we all thought LEGO was a new format in 3D animation like Anime in 2D Animation. So I was expecting very eagerly what could be the second LEGO film. When they had announced it was going to be 'Batman', many 'Batman' fans were elated. So here we are. It took a longeβ
