how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score β the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.
Read from 99 comments (69 from Reddit, 28 from Metacritic, 2 from TMDB reviews) β 23 of them described how it moves.
β steady β Holds one level all the way. Pulled both ways throughout β never simply one thing. Marked above the line: 1 that gave people chills, 2 that got a real laugh.

βthe first is the action, which is epic, and really well put togetherβ

βthen there is the rest of the film with bad dialogue, clunky story lines, what ever the hell accent Matt Damon was doing, it is like you can see the gears of the movie clunking alongβ

βThe battle scenes- especially the first one with the drums and the girls jumping down the wall was really really coolβ

βI liked the begenning set up and seeing the anime like warriors and their armors and weapons. I thought the fight scenes were fun and I may have had a large crush on the main female lead (pretty girl + kick ass armor= LOVE). I liked that all the Chinese was in subtitles and that only the girl could speak english and their was a good reason for it.β

βThe last half of the movie how ever while cool was the weaker aspect of it and the point i started checking my phone.β

βThe Great Wall has significant problems β namely with Damon and sidekick Pedro Pascal's lack of bromantic chemistry β but chief among its rewards is its ability to marry its Eastern and Western sensibilities.β

βViewers are in good hands β if theyβre not too demanding β as Zhang Yimou puts the easily distinguishable characters through their paces.β

βThe absurdity is what makes it such a hoot-and-a-half.β
David Edelstein, New York Magazine (Vulture) Β· 70
βAs pure spectacle, The Great Wall is absolutely dazzling. It may be a studio release, but the constant sense of invention, the go-for-broke intricacy of its battle scenes, feels very much of a piece with Chinese action fantasy flicks.β
Bilge Ebiri, Village Voice Β· 70
βIf The Great Wall is too spotty to really satisfy as the old-fashioned medieval adventure it sometimes aspires to be, it is consistently engaging as an almost abstract exercise in visual sumptuousness.β

βA film about how the Chinese built the Great Wall to keep out a legion of monsters known as Tao Tei, one could easily expect this film to be easily disposable and outright stupid. Yet, under the sure-hand of director Zhang Yimou, this possibly stupid film takes a unique turn into being a stellar realization of old legend (is it really a legend?) that can be mocked for being so clearly untrue, but still contains excellent themes, great action scenes, and a great imagination that always manages toβ
