π flatline β One note, start to finish. Warm most of the way through. Very little of it ever resolves. Marked above the line: 1 that got a real laugh.

βIβm super mixed on the opening scene. On the one hand, I think it was a good idea to move the series away from John Connor. On the other, after everything that happened in the first two movies, killing him feels so anticlimactic.β

βwhat this "shocking" opening scene was that critics kept referring to. I had a hunch it was John being killed. As a fan of T1 and T2, for me that's unforgivableβ
βThe scene where heβs telling the crew about drapes and describing the baby room made my entire theatre laugh.β

βWhether Terminator: Dark Fate is the last chapter in this story or the first in an all-new franchise is, for now, irrelevant. The film works either way, bringing the tale of the first two films to a satisfying conclusion while reintroducing the classic storyline, in exciting new ways, to an excited new audience. Itβs a breathtaking blockbuster, and a welcome return to form.β

βEasily the third-best Terminator film, which is more of a compliment than it sounds. Itβs great to have Hamilton back in this role, but sheβs ably matched by Reyes and Davis.β

βTim Millerβs film deftly builds upon what worked in the first two James Cameron-helmed entities while bringing in a new host of characters and circumstances to challenge the course of humankind. While thereβs definitely some frantic leap-frogging involved in terms of accepting why some characters have evolved the way they did, Terminator: Dark Fate ultimately succeeds in serving as both a suitable closing chapter for the original two films and a possible gateway to exciting new chapters ahead.β

βA decent, fast-moving nod to the spirit that originally made the Terminator movies a permanent part of pop culture.β

βSarah Connor may have averted one dark version of the future, but another even darker destiny may be inevitable. Even so, the film suggests, hope β just like the hearts of people who buy tickets to sequels β springs eternal. In this case, it is not misplaced.β

βIn the beginning, you guys decided to take out John Connor. Words couldnβt describe how much I hated that, and also it completely destroyed the purpose of the T-800 being terminated in T2, and is just such a middle finger who have been big fans of the franchise for years.β

βI had some expectations for this film: with the return of names as reputable as Linda Hamilton (who play Sarah Connor again) and James Cameron (not to be the director, as I would have preferred, but as a producer), I hoped that this film could relaunch a franchise that seemed to be in decay. Unfortunately, that's not happened: it is a terrible film, and the box office results seem to agree with that assessment. To begin with, I did not like the fact that this film makes a clean slate of all theβ

βIf you enjoy reading my Spoiler-Free reviews, please follow my blog :) When it comes to the Terminator franchise, I share the same opinion as most people. The 1984βs original became a cult classic, and itβs one of the most influential sci-fi/action films of all-time. Terminator 2: Judgment Day is one of the (very) few sequels to such a beloved movie that actually improves on its predecessor, standing as the number one film of the saga, quality- and entertainment-wise. James Cameron left the fβ

βGreat watch, would watch again, and do recommend. First, time travel is the worst, but it's what allows the premise. I don't like divergent timelines, but it allows for some interesting scenarios, so when an android that never would have been created kills someone that would had stopped it from existing had it not been erased from existence, I'm a little interested. The other big difference, and I'm not really opposed, is that they turned this into a women's empowerment movie when it coβ

β"For John." 'Dark Fate' was meh. I mean it's basically the Force Awakens of the franchise just more cash grab. Like...how many times can they keep alternating T1 & T2, and yet it's astounding that it never ruins the legacy of the series. Despite all that, it's the third best in the series. At least this movie knows that Terminator is not for kids! I had some engagement in the movie, even through the reason being that it follows a familiar plot line.
