how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score β the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.
Read from 48 comments (46 from Metacritic, 2 from TMDB reviews) β 21 of them described how it moves.
β steady β Holds one level all the way. Pulled both ways throughout β never simply one thing. In the last stretch it was tender and painful at the same time, which is the state people mean by being moved. Very little of it ever resolves.

βa rather downbeat ending that just didn't seem to do justice to the excellence of Puzo's story or to the previously established, captivating, characβ

βa weary trilogy that succumbed to total exhaustion and a heavy, 1.0-rated battle with sleepβ

βa bit draggy movie due to its big plot revolving around Vatican, and for me it is just a bit to boringβ

βIn this brilliantly sustained climax, Coppola unveils a vision of corruption that embraces the entire world, but he's also reveling in sheer theatrical magic in a way that only a master can.β
Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly Β· 100
βThis lushly photographed, brilliantly acted and wonderfully entertaining movie has its own claims to uniqueness. It's the most thoughtful of the three films, and its climax brings the entire series into sharper focus. [25 Dec 1990, Daily Datebook, p.E1]β
Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle Β· 100
βPart III matches its predecessors in narrative intensity, epic scope, socio-political analysis, physical beauty and deep feeling for its characters and milieu.β
Staff (Not Credited), Variety Β· 90
βThough definitely one of the best American movies of the year--a work of high ensemble talent and intelligence, gorgeously mounted and crafted, artistically audacious in ways that most American movies don't even attempt--it's still a disappointment… It's not the capstone we might have wanted Coppola to make. [23 Dec 1990, Calendar, p.9]β
Michael Wilmington, Los Angeles Times Β· 90
βIt's strange how the earlier movies fill in the gaps left by this one, and answer the questions. It is, I suspect, not even possible to understand this film without knowing the first two, and yet, knowing them, Part III works better than it should.β
