how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score β the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.

β steady β Holds one level all the way. Hard going most of the way through. Very little of it ever resolves.

βDirector Howard, his actors, and indeed the entire salty sweep of the film are all aided tremendously by visual-effects supervisor Jody Johnson and his teamβs spectacular combination of live action and flawless, awe-inspiring CGI creations, chief among them the great, white whale.β

βEven though In The Heart Of The Seaβs framing device often feels like it was written by someone whoβd never read a word of Melville, its visual style makes for a bold approximation of his allusive prose.β

βThe biggest problem with In the Heart of the Sea is its episodic nature. Especially during the post-sinking saga, things donβt flow smoothly.β

βIn the Heart of the Sea really gives Hemsworth a chance to shine. Heβs not just the hammer-slinging Thor: The Aussie continues to make the most of his dramatic work β as in Howardβs 2013 Formula 1 film "Rush" β and showcases a considerable amount of gravitas.β

βThe picture is sometimes wayward and unwieldy, its dialogue creaky and awkward, like an amateurβs attempt at scrimshaw.... But in a movie climate rife with superhero reboots and rehashings of childhood favorites, itβs a small marvel that In the Heart of the Sea exists at all.β

βRon Howard's [In the Heart of the Sea](https://manapop.com/film/in-the-heart-of-the-sea-2015/) is your standard man-against-nature movie but it is chock full of two-dimensional characters in service of a tedious script that makes this a trip not worth taking. The film is beautifully shot, and the actors give decent performances given the substandard material they had to work with. Still, as a whole, it fails to engage the viewer in either a philosophical or historic aspect. Instead of a man agaiβ

βIt's hard to get into at first. I didn't care about the characters so when much of the film's opening consists of introducing us to these characters it's hard for the mind to not wander.β

β> We actually know this story, but not the truth until now! Ron Howard's latest sea adventure, stars Chris Hemsworth in an important role. So the people comparing it with 'Moby Dick', because both the film is about the same story, but one was inspired and the other one was, I mean this film was based on the actual event. I had seen the BBC film 'The Whale', not a bad film for a low budget television film. Most importantly, it revealed the truth about what I was not aware of from one of my favβ

βI love these type of 18th century film flair, and the whole pirate-like or merchant crew voyaging to the open sea looking for a non-abundant resource later to be topped with an impossible foe because of the technology at the time thus lead to strand in mother nature. Good stuff!β

βThis movie never really grabbed me. I was impressed by I guess what real critics call the cinematography. Some of the scenes of the action on the ship and the ocean vistas, were realistic and placed me there in the same way I felt like I was there. With Master and Commander. The plot was adequate to the task as well. A familiar story thanks to Moby Dick, but that was the point. My problem was with the characters. I never connected with any of them. I canβt say why or even why I needed to if tβ
