how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score β the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.
Read from 21 comments (19 from Metacritic, 2 from TMDB reviews) β 3 of them described how it moves.
Thin evidence β the shape below rests on 3 comments. The shaded band is how wide the uncertainty actually is, and it is drawn to scale.
Not enough people said when to name this shape. The line is what the evidence draws, not a finding.

βOne of the most moving scenes, was right at the beginning when Treves sees Merrick for the first time, and a tear rolls down his cheek.β

βThe scene with Treve's wife is so sad that I had tears in my eyes for the rest of the movie.β

βas was the scene in the theatre, with the Tchaikovsky-like music, and Merrick enjoying himself like a 6 year old boy.β

βHurt is brilliant as Merrick, projecting in his anguished eyes and mournful body language a humanity past the makeup that embodies so convincingly the pain of Merrick, the original elephant man, whose rare disease was exploited by the people running a Victorian freak show.β

βThis is a tale of redemption and transcendence, of the hunchback of London Hospital, of the noble phantom who want to go to the opera, of Beauty and the Beast. In Treves' account, though, the Beast was a Beauty. In Lynch's hands, so is this film.β

βA marvelous movie, shot in stunning black-and-white by Freddie Francis.β

βHurt gives a tour de force performance, masterfully conveying emotions while unable to use his face or even much of his voice.β

βDavid Lynch's superb and subtly ironic 1980 film reveals the shining humanity in a horribly disfigured--and horribly mistreated--young man who actually lived in England in the late 19th Century and was rescued by an enlightened Victorian physician.β

βSaw this, recently up-converted to 4K at the London Film Festival and, apart from the clear improvements to the quality and detail of the image, I was reminded of just how good it is. Anthony Hopkins and Anne Bancroft play their roles with engaging sincerity - very ably supported by Sir John Gielgud and Dame Wendy Hiller. Prosthetics aside, John Hurt captures both the despair and optimism of Merrick with empathetic style; and Freddie Jones is just downright evil as "Bytes". His son Toby was at tβ
