how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score — the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.
Read from 31 comments (30 from Metacritic, 1 from TMDB reviews) — 10 of them described how it moves.
Thin evidence — the shape below rests on 10 comments. The shaded band is how wide the uncertainty actually is, and it is drawn to scale.
Not enough people said when to name this shape. The line is what the evidence draws, not a finding.

Published reviews, not felt experience — a different question from the one above, and never mixed into the FlickFeel score.
It reviews better than it plays — admired more than it is enjoyed.
“This tough, brilliant crime film features Hackman as the indefatigable Popeye Doyle, who passionately hates drug pushers.”
Staff (Not credited), TV Guide Magazine · 100
“There is only one problem with the excitement generated by this film. After it is over, you will walk out of the theater and, as I did, curse the tedium of your own life. I kept looking for someone who I could throw up against a wall. [8 November 1971]”
Gene Siskel, Chicago Tribune · 100
“Friedkin's hand-held documentary style was the perfect vehicle for the film's pumped-up verite.”
Andrew Collins, Empire · 100
“An electrifying achievement, drawing its high-voltage forward momentum from the collision of semi-documentary procedural, with its based-on-real-events verisimilitude, and downbeat rogue-cop revisionism.”
Budd Wilkins, Slant Magazine · 100
“The French Connection is routinely included, along with "Bullitt," "Diva" and "Raiders of the Lost Ark," on the short list of movies with the greatest chase scenes of all time. What is not always remembered is what a good movie it is apart from the chase scene.”
Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times · 100

Grouped by where it was written, because a considered review and a reaction typed an hour after the credits are different things. Every quote links to its source.
“Though he's not top-billed here, I found it's Fernando Rey who delivers best in this brutal and authentic-looking story of trans-Atlantic drug smuggling. Popeye (Gene Hackman) and his pal Russo (Roy Scheider) are detectives in New York determined to bring down a network of cocaine importers who are bringing the lucrative white powder in from Marseille. They suspect that it's Charnier (Rey) who is masterminding the whole enterprise, but they can't pin anything down on him. He hides in plain sight”
